Winter 2015 Makeup Trends

Winter is fast approaching, and to get your face looking its best for holiday gatherings (and lots of snapshots!) these makeup trends should be on your list.

Even I go all out in the winter season because I love the holidays and I love the social time even more! Whether I am with family or with friends, I enjoy having people notice my manicure or my eyes. Don’t we all?

Be the talk of the social gathering, and for good reason with these latest cosmetic looks. From nail shades to lip colors, here are some of the hottest Winter 2015 makeup trends just. for. you!

Winter 2015 Makeup Trends to Try Now

For Luscious Lips

Think berries!

black cherry lipsActually, think of a glass of Merlot.  This is the hot color for winter, but even hotter is if you add a few spritzes of black cherry.  Or black raspberry.

Lips are being shown all over in shades of ultra dark berry, almost “goth”-like with a crimson tint.

Pair those puckers with a slightly bronzed complexion (with hues of rosiness to accentuate the cheekbones) and you will be camera ready.

On the other hand, nude lips are hot as well.  So if you’re a bit more conservative, feel free to go bare.

For Drop-Dead Gorgeous Eyes

teal makeupWinter 2015 holds nothing back in terms of eye design.  Shimmery yet dark colours are in, and to be applied to the entire eyelid with blending, of course.

Black pencil can and should cover the upper and lower lids, and if you are ultra trendy, you can even extend the pencil line slightly outward beyond the upper lid.  Yes, like cat-eyes.

The in-color this winter?  Smokiness in darker shades of teal, green, grey, or chocolate.

Don’t worry, though; if you don’t want to be bold, that is perfectly fine.  You will fit in well with nude shades all over.  Apparently this winter you can be all or nothing and still look fabulous!

For Sassy & Bold Nails

There is absolutely no limits on nails.  Over the past few years, we have learned that anything, including colour, designs, boldness, and even totally mismatched has looked great.

One thing that has stood out is shorter, rounded nails rather than squared.  Other than that, colour can be anything from sheer nothingness to bright scattered hues.

The metallic shades are seen a lot, dark colours that make a bold statement are common, and any shade of grey or blue will do!

Nail art is in, especially in the form of intricate designs, nail wraps, and glistening ombres.  With nails, it is anything you desire these days, from ultra conservative to wild and edgy!

With these winter 2015 makeup trends, you will look your best and feel confident.  The one advantage of these trends is (besides the fact that you will get noticed!) that you have a multitude of options.

Show yourself and have a blast as you experiment with what looks best on you!
