The Biggest Fall Makeup Trends

The weather is cooler, the days shorter, and you have a solid reason to go makeup shopping! It’s Fall baby and there is a whole new set of Fall color trends that should be making their way into your closet, as well as your makeup bag.

Gone is the season of light and bright hues that make your tan pop, and in comes a season full of deeper tones and neutral colour options that look fab on skin that is slightly pale and a little more sun-deprived.

So what shades should you be stocking up on?

This season expect a lot of drama! From Mulberry mouths to multi-toned eyelids to retro tresses, this Fall is all about having fun with your makeup. You know, in case you weren’t having any fun before now.

So what colours should you stylish sistahs focus on this season?

Your Lips

If you are the type of gal who loves a little drama, you’re gonna love this!

Dark, dramatic, somewhat gothic colours such as black cherry, mulberry, or any other deep rouge with a more blackened undertone will have you drawing attention to that perfect pout of yours.

Just make sure you tone down the eyes, cheeks, and opt for a touch of bronzer if you are going to rock this trend. After all, we don’t want you scaring people, just looking cute!

Your Eyes

Make sure you stock your makeup bag with different shades of brown. While deep chocolate is one of the popular Fall makeup trends, light browns and copper hues will also be making their debut on eyelids near you.

Not a big fan of playing it safe? Why not get a little wild and experiment with blue, green, or even red? It may sound drastic but navy blue and turquoise hues are the freakin’ bomb dot come this season.

Can’t commit to a full eye? Opt for a liner in either a cat-eye style or geometric shape and stay on trend while still playing it safe.

If a blue eye shadow just isn’t daring enough for you, try mixing things up and adding a little emerald green. Whether you use it to line your eyes or cover your lid, this jewel-toned shade pairs extremely well with browns and golds.

Feeling a little more daring? Ignite your inner fire and rock the red!

It may not be office appropriate but it’s oh-so-awesome for a night out on the town with your girls. Just be sure to tone down your outfit of choice so you don’t have too much going on.

They’re baaaaack! One of my absolute favourite hair trends is back and it’s blunt.

Need a new little somethin’ somethin’ to update the hairstyle you have had for too many seasons? Opt for a blunt fringe.

It may be a bold move but blunt bangs are ridiculously hot and can make just about any girl feel sassy as hell. What’s even better is that since we are in the cooler months, you don’t have to worry about sweating too much under your bangs (something I know of all too well) and if you are prone to pimples, you now have one hell of a fashionable solution to cover those suckers.

Not diggin’ the fringe? Try a severe part with an up-do or get really wild and rock a retro bouffant!

Though I can never seem to actually do one on myself, I am crushing hard on this style and the seriously teased-out volume it gives. Accent it with a cute headband, ribbon, or decal of some sort and you will not only stay on trend but you will look f**kin’ smashing while sporting it.

With so many hues, styles, and Fall makeup trends to play around with this season you should have no problem staying stylish right up to 2013.
