We really are in the thick of it, aren’t we ladies? From blustery weather to mid-Autumn Hurricane Sandy, earlier-than-usual snow to small bursts of sunshine that put a pep in our step, Autumn is here and she ain’t leaving anytime soon.

Usually I hate all things cold-related (unless it is a cold drink on a warm day) but lately I seem to be appreciating the Autumn colours, the cute boots I get to wear, and of course the Pumpkin-spiced lattes!

Actually, anything Pumpkin seems to make me happy lately. Whether it’s pies, tarts, soups, lattes, seeds, or just straight up roasted Pumpkin I just can’t seem to get enough of it.

Maybe that’s why I am currently obsessed with this handy Pumpkin face mask I recently discovered! I mean, I seriously  L.O.V.E  it!

Why, you ask? Well, simply put, pumpkin is ah-maze-ing for your skin.

It’s loaded with Vitamin A – fabulous for helping to heal damaged skin cells, Vitamin C – a powerful antioxidant that helps to fight damage-causing free-radicals, and Zinc which helps to soothe and moisturize.

And in case that’s not enough, Pumpkin also acts as a carrier ultimately helping the other ingredients to absorb into your skin more effectively and intensify your results. Not bad for something you can carve, eat, and slather onto your face!

But it’s not just Pumpkin that makes this mask so beneficial, keep reading to find out what other ingredients are needed for this mask and what their beauty benefits are.

How To Make Your Own Pumpkin Face Mask

What makes this simple beauty treatment so great is just that, it’s simple! All you need is:

  • 4 tablespoons of canned and mashed PumpkinIngredients you need to make a pumpkin face mask
  • 3 tablespoons of organic Apple Cider Vinegar – I like Bragg’s
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of Rosewater – I use Jurlique

Once you have all your ingredients rounded up, the process is simple:

  • mix and mash up all of your ingredients in a small bowl
  • apply evenly to your face
  • allow it to sit on your skin for up to 20 minutes
  • rinse off with warm water
  • pat dry

Not only does the Pumpkin nourish your skin (as stated above) but the Apple Cider Vinegar helps to cleanse your skin of any pore-clogging dirt, oil, and bacteria as well as minimizing dark spots and helping with any anti-aging efforts.

In addition to that, the Rosewater soothes your skin and leaves it feeling crazy soft to the touch.

Not bad for a simple DIY beauty treatment if I do say so myself, but I’m sure this isn’t the only fall face mask floating around cyberland.

    Do you think results could be similar without this third ingredient?

  • You can get rosewater at any health food or natural foods store usually…I find it to be a pretty common thing at those types of shops :-)
