Don’t you just hate when your skin decides to hate your life and break out with pimples, dots, blemishes, zits…EVERYTHING!
Yea, me too.
There are so many factors that contribute to acne like your diet, hormone changes, sitting in sweaty clothes (oops!) and more. Keeping up with all the instigators and trying to avoid them can be a downright hassle.
Since I can’t spend my energy trying to fight acne all the time, there are regular precautions I take that just fit into my routine. One of them includes choosing the right skincare products.
Enter Exposed Acne Treatment.
What is Exposed?
Exposed skincare is a line of acne blasting products that help you combat all those nasty little zits. They offer several different products (9 to be exact!), but today I’m just going to be dishing on the 4 products that make up their acne treatment kit.
The first step int his treatment line is to use the facial cleanser. It is a gentle, non-comedogenic cleanser packed full of alpha and beta hydroxy acids that kill acne causing bacteria and germs on your skin.
Step two is their post-cleansing clearing tonic. This tonic is so powerful it sinks deep down into your pores to rid your skin of blackheads and whiteheads.
Though it only contains 1% salicylic acid if you have sensitive skin you may find this product drying and irritating for your skin.
Acne Treatment Serum
Serums are designed to sink deep into your skin and target problems at the core. This acne serum contains 3.5% benzoyl peroxide to fight against bacteria before acne even appears.
Clear Pore Serum
Step four involves their serum which helps balance your skins natural pH balance. Best used at night because it’s quite intense, this serum is full of natural ingredients and antioxidants.
Our Exposed Acne Treatment Review
Three people in my family have tried Exposed products and each of us had something to say about it, so let’s dive into it.
My two sisters and I all enjoyed using the facial cleanser. We found it light on our skin and left us feeling fresh and clean. If you tend to over wash your face, it will dry your skin out though. Try to not use it more than once in the morning and once before bed.
Personally, I went so far as to only use it at night before bed and simply rinsed my face with air temp water in the mornings.
The clearing tonic was a bust. One sister said it was acidic, and while the other agreed, she also added that it smelled rancid and left your skin feeling parched and irritated.
The acne treatment serum was by far our best product in this line. When used as a spot treatment it crushed zits in only a few days. Just don’t make the mistake of using it all over your face if you have mostly clear skin. It will leave you feeling sun burned. Ouch.
Finally, the clear pore serum reminded all three of us of our father’s Anisette liqueur. Now if the scent of black licorice is your jam, then that’s cool. Even so, you may want to know that it feels goopy and heavy on your skin. None of us felt like it soaked in very well either.
Our Final Thoughts
All in all, we’ve definitely tried worse treatments before. Though we didn’t love each of the products, they do work well together. As long as you don’t use too much of anything, you will start to see your skin clearing up in as little as one week.
Exposed acne treatment review comments from others also state that while the product has a few pitfalls, the overall effects can’t be discounted. If you’re looking for clear skin you will definitely get it with this product. It is also affordably priced so you don’t feel like your wallet is getting gouged out when you purchase it.
Ultimately, it’s worth a shot.
