Summer vacation usually means one thing: Beach bum time!
Well, that’s what it means for me. There’s something incredibly soothing about the heat from the sun warming your body and the way the water laps at the shore. It’s just so relaxing.
The only downfall is that lingering feeling that your winter binging has left you with a few more pockets of cellulite than you’d like to admit.
Cellulite is such a pain in the ass – literally. Some of us fight with it for years and genetics continuously give us the middle finger. Others are lucky to have next to none.
It’s an inevitable part of womanhood, so why let it hinder our big vacation plans? Rather than shy away from it, let’s show those fat pockets who’s da boss!
There are several little cellulite tricks you can employ whilst on summer vacation that can wear away at your stubborn cellulite.
3 Cellulite Tricks to Get Rid of Cellulite While on Vacation
An Abrasive Beach Bath
Whether you plan on it or not, hanging out on the beach means sand covered toes, blankets and bags. It’s unavoidable, so why not use it to your advantage?
Use one of my favourite cellulite tricks and wander on down to the shoreline and take a seat. Grab a handful of mud and start massaging it into your skin.
This beach bath works twofold. The consistency of mud acts as a natural exfoliant to whisk away dead skin cells for brighter, healthier looking skin. The act of massaging it in stimulates blood flow to your cellulite-affected areas.
The better your circulation, the harder it is for fat deposits to set up shop. Winning!
Sweat It Out on a Sand Run
One of the best ways to minimize your likelihood of cellulite is by staying active. What better way to do that than going for a little jog on the beach?
Running on sand adds more resistance than the treadmill and puts a lot more emphasis on your glutes and thighs. Mentally focus on targeting these areas when you’re running and try to avoid any upper body bouncing.
Another perk of running down the beach? You can scope out all those tanned hotties! Can I get an amen or what?
Get Your Aqua-Fit On
Don’t laugh just yet. Aqua-fit is one of my favourite cellulite tricks and is a bad ass way to shed a few pounds and work away your cellulite.
Working against the natural resistance of water and the current can be quite difficult. I dare you to do 20 jump splits under the water and not feel that burn!
Underwater jump splits are also effective at targeting your butt which is one of the most popular spots for hoarding cellulite. Squats and forward scissor kicks are even more excellent exercises.
Try this water circuit and watch your cellulite disappear with the tide:
– 15 bilateral jump splits
– 30 deep sea squats
– 20 forward scissor kicks
Repeat circuit 3-4 times and don’t forget to reapply your sunscreen once you hop out of the water. For extra cellulite stimulation, try moisturizing with our potent cellulite cream.
Days at the beach will never be the same and cellulite will rue the day it arrived on your body. Which of these cellulite tricks will you try first?
