The Best Beauty AppsLooking to transfer some funds? There’s an app for that.

Wanting to find a restaurant nearby? There’s an app for that.

Craving the satisfaction of smashing angry birds into boxes? There’s an app for that.

Searching for the perfect nail polish to match your outfit? Of course, there’s an app for that too!

There seems to be an app for everything nowadays. From weight loss and sleep tracking to food and beauty, there’s something for everyone.

Easy answers are just a screenshot away. That being said, there are some seriously awesome beauty apps on the iTunes App Store that are worth checking out! For the best beauty apps out there, consult my list!

The Best Beauty Apps in the Biz

China Glaze

If you’ve ever wanted to match your nails to a pair of shoes or perhaps your favourite clutch, but had a hard time finding the perfect shade, worry no more. China Glaze came out with an app that allows you to take a picture of virtually anything and they will match it to one of their 300 shades of nail polish.

With this app you can even “try on” the shade. All you have to do is pick your general skin tone and nail length then apply the color. Best part? It’s free! Win!

Mirror

Whenever I eat out I always fear there’s something stuck in my teeth. Can you imagine going on a date and having some basil stuck between two teeth and the guy too scared to tell you? I shudder just thinking of it!

Not everyone carries a little mirror or compact, but you likely all carry your phone. Well, start downloading the Mirror app, girlfriend!

This app produces a reflection so you can apply your makeup or check your teeth for free. You can even set it to office or night time modes so you have a better idea how your makeup will look. Loves. It.

My Own

You take your skin seriously and so does this app. My Own tracks your aging process by comparing a “before” shot with continuous updated shots.

What’s great about this app is that it allows you to see just how well all those anti-wrinkle creams are working or if applying all that facial sunscreen is paying off.

This app is free and also offers a detailed aging analysis along with a recommended skin care and wellness regimine. I think it may just be one of the best beauty apps out of this bunch.

My Skin

Similar to My Own, this beauty app gives you a skin analysis, but instead of projecting future images, it puts you in touch with others who share your skin type. This forum gives you the opportunity to compare stories and share product reviews.

HairStyle Makeover

Don’t be hasty. Try on that new ‘do before making it semi-permanent. Yes, hair grows back, but it will feel like forever if you hate the cut.

HairStyle Makeover lets you try on new ‘do’s before going under the scissors.

Using your phone’s photo library you can try on up to 1000 hairstyles and can even share the images to see what others will think. Wish I had thought of this before chopping off all my locks! Waaah!

Hairstyle Tutorial

This one costs a measly $.099, but is worth it if styling your hair isn’t your forte *cough* like V *cough*. This app gives you step-by-step instructions for recreating some of your favourite hairstyles.

With pictures and instructions it is easy to use and offers a plethora of styles to choose from.

Primp and GoodGuide

Having a rough time navigating the beauty aisles? Unsure of whether or not you want to purchase that product? Both these apps let you scan the product barcode for customer reviews and ratings.

Primp offers discounts, while GoodGuide puts you in touch with greener beauty and skin care products. Finding cruelty-free products has never been easier

It seems crazy that there is an app for everything now, but seriously how handy are these? Using the best beauty apps on the market makes shopping and primping that much easier!

Got a list of the best beauty apps of your own? Dish ’em so I can download ’em!
